Essentials by Samantha Helen was founded with a passion for artistry, education, and community.

Samantha Helen is an industry specialist artist who brings together the worlds of makeup design, face, and body art. With over 12 years of experience, she has collaborated with leading names such as Boots, Disney, theatre productions, events companies, and global corporate clients. Alongside her professional work, Samantha shares her expertise across the UK, delivering masterclasses and demonstrations within the education system to inspire and train the next generation of artists.

In 2020, she launched Essentials — beginning with her signature brush collection, which quickly expanded into professional-quality face and body paints. Her mission has always been to equip artists, students, and professionals with the essential tools they need, while championing creativity and confidence across the industry.

At its heart, Essentials is about community and celebration. Samantha works closely with some of the industry’s most innovative teams and collectives, including Glow World, Bath Body Art, and UKFABAC, fostering a supportive network where knowledge and artistry are shared.
